Over a decade of experience bringing policy and law to life for everyone through clear language and compelling stories.
LANDING PAGE: Airbnb.org/refugees
Under an extremely tight deadline, I created the content design and managed the stakeholder review process for Airbnb.org's Afghan refugee resettlement landing page. A broad audience viewed the original Afghan housing landing page over 250,000 times. More than 3,300 of those readers became new Airbnb.org Hosts.
LANDING PAGE: Frontline stays for COVID-19 responders
I updated the content as Airbnb.org prepared to sunset this program, working cross-functionally with a designer and engineer. I then brought the page through a complete stakeholder review before handing it off to an engineer for translation and publication.
WEBPAGE: Creating a world rooted in belonging: Airbnb.org’s commitments
Since 2012, Airbnb—and now Airbnb.org—has partnered with Hosts, nonprofit organizations, emergency management agencies and governments to provide stays to people in times of crisis around the world. I worked with a variety of stakeholders to provide edits as well as the title of this piece, and worked with a designer and engineer to bring it to life on the website.
MODAL: MomsRising Year End Fundraising Modal for Desktop and Mobile
I created the copy and general design for the modal deployed on MomsRising.org throughout the year-end fundraising period. The modal performed strongly: Of those donating via the modal, one third were first-time donors.
WEBPAGE: MomsVote
I worked with MomsRising's executive director, graphic designer, and web developer to create a MomsVote page that provides users with up-to-date, personalized information on voting.
LANDING PAGE: MomsRising Year End Fundraising
I created the landing page to which all MomsRising end-of-year fundraising emails and social media posts pointed. The landing page anchored a campaign I led, which exceeded our year-end fundraising goal.
NEWSLETTER: Unprecedented numbers for October MOMentum!
This is an example of a monthly newsletter MomsRising sends to donors. I work with a consultant to identify the most strategic and timely pieces of content to highlight, then write the introduction, edit the blurbs, obtain editorial approval from campaign directors and the executive director, and work with the tech team to ensure the newsletter is properly targeted and sent timely each month.
BRAND KIT: 2020 MomsRising Brand Kit
In response to an ongoing need of organizational partners for the MomsRising logo and colors, I created this simple, streamlined style guide.
ARTICLE: Healthcare Coverage for Kids, Lifesavers for Families
I wrote this article in support of the Children's Health Insurance Program and MomsRising's campaign for kids' healthcare.
BLOGPOST: How I Updated My 2020 Holiday Plans
Too many people are confused about what's COVID-safe behavior and what isn't. I created this blogpost in partnership with MomsRising's healthcare campaign director to reach people who needed simple guidance on relatively safe behavior during the holidays. I use a personal narrative to lift up recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
VIDEO: 2019: Why We Rise, How We KEEP RISING
I provided creative and editorial direction for this video highlighting organizational wins and featuring members telling their own stories.
PODCAST: Breaking Through with Kristin Rowe-Finkbeiner (Powered by MomsRising)
I appeared on MomsRising's weekly radio show to discuss the importance of making a plan to vote. The episode also included segments with Monica Ramirez, Alicia Garza, and Maura Caslyn. The show, like the MomsRising blog, is both an important medium for sharing MomsRising content as well as an essential tool for developing relationships and lifting others' voices.
REPORT: Toxic Sweatshops: How UNICOR Prison Recycling Harms Workers, Communities, the Environment, and the Recycling Industry
I co-authored this in-depth report to provide environmental health advocates and supporters with solid research and persuasive, sensitive storytelling about the people who are forced to do the hazardous work of electronic waste recycling.

As a member of the Board of Directors for Netroots Nation, I am prepared to speak to the media about the conference and the Netroots Nation community. This article from WHYY includes a quote I provided between attending and speaking on panels.
